John Carpenter's THE FOG (1980)
On April 21st, I hope you will join in our 42nd Anniversary celebration of Antonio Bay's Centennial Anniversary. Why are we showing John Carpenter's 1980 horror classic The Fog on April 21st? Well, that's the day the movie takes place, the day that ghostly Captain Blake and his ghastly crew of leprous pirates return to Antonio Bay to retrieve their long stolen gold, which the town fathers used to build the town. It's an all star line up with Adrienne Barbeau, Tom Atkins, Jamie Lee Curtis, Janet Leigh, Hal Holbrook and John Houseman. If this one doesn't make your skin crawl, it's on too tight!
Gimmick- We plan on sharing the wealth and giving out chocolate gold coins from Captain Blake's stash. Also, we hope to be able to have The Fog make a guest appearance during the film's end!
Auditorium 1 opens at 6:00. You are encouraged to bring snacks and even dinner and make it a date night. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the show. There will be a brief talk about the film at 6:15 and the film will start promptly at 6:30.
