Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster (1965)
After Mars is decimated by atomic war, Princess Marcuzan and creepy Dr. Nadir head to earth to snatch beach bunnies in an effort to repopulate their planet. After they shoot down a space capsule, cyborg astronaut Col. Frank Saunders goes bonkers and has to rumble a space monster in Puerto Rico and then stop the princess and Dr. Nadir of their dastardly deeds. Only one movie is this insane, and that movie is Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster. There's so much plot in this one, 79 minutes is barely enough time in which to tell it all. Great music by The Poets and excessive use of NASA stock footage complete this tale of mad alien kidnappers and space creatures gone bad.
The gimmick- We will be re-creating the actual gimmick used when the film was released in 1965 and hand out Space Shield Eye Protectors to protect you from Dr. Nadir's hypnotic gaze!
The auditorium opens at 6:00. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the film, so bring plenty of snacks and dinner even and plan to have fun. There will be a short discussion about the film and the gimmick at 6:15 and the film will start promptly at 6:30.
