Summer Movie Series: Summer of 1982

We kick off the Summer Movie Series: Summer of 1982 with the biggest movie of 1981, which played non-stop until March of 1982 and then was officially re-released successfully into theaters in July of 1982- Raiders of the Lost Ark. Raiders is a fast moving action-adventure tale featuring all around good guy Indiana Jones as he embarks on a journey across the globe to locate the Ark of the Covenant before Hitler gets his hands on it. Indy also makes archeology look really, really cool! Harrison Ford and Karen Allen star. The movie starts at sunset but the fun begins at 6:30 when we open the Indiana Jones Obstacle Course. Who will escape this obstacle course with the best time? (Anyone participating in the obstacle course should wear clothes that can get dirty and probably wet.) Special Raiders of the Lost Ark: Summer of 1982 buttons to the first fifty attendees. (Collect all four Summer Movie Series: Summer of 1982 buttons for a special 5th button.) Bring your blanket or chairs and spread out on our green space for a picnic during the movie. The Lawler's BBQ Food Van will be on hand offering a limited menu before the movie starts.
