Hitchcock’s problematic treatment of some of his women actors has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years. However, his films include many strong and intriguing women characters, albeit, usually trapped in the midst of great danger. We’ll explore the roles of women in some of his most acclaimed films.
This Week: Spellbound (1945) Ingrid Bergman, Gregory Peck. A psychiatrist protects the identity of an amnesia patient accused of murder while attempting to recover his memory.
