The Mad Movie-A-Thon-O-Rama
Thursday, May 11, 2023 6 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
After the murder of a young girl, a street gang declares war against a father who seeks refuge in a shutdown police precinct. A prison transfer bus is also forced to stop at the precinct and the cops and the criminals must join forces to fight the street gang. Two years prior to Halloween, before anyone knew who John Carpenter was, he made this urban western on a shoestring budget. The film garnered a lot of attention when distributor Michael Myers released it in the U.K. and critics began talking about it. (See how all of this ties together?) This non-stop actioner works in the same manner of the westerns by Howard Hawks and Sergio Leone. In Color. 91 minutes. The Auditorium open at 6:00 and the film begins at 6:30. Food and drink are permitted in the Auditorium during the film.
