The MAD Summer Movie Spectacular

SUPERMAN II sees the Man of Steel giving up his super powers to be with the woman he loves, only to be dragged back into the hero business when three escaped criminals from the Phantom Zone show up on Earth and start busting up the planet. Will Supes give up his chance at happiness to save the planet? SUPERMAN II is a solid, satisfyingly fun follow-up to the original. Like the STAR WARS films we showed previously, we will be presenting the version of SUPERMAN II that appeared in theaters the summer of '81. (For anyone interested, you can check out SUPERMAN II: THE RICHARD DONNER CUT on DVD from HMCPL.org ) The MAD Summer Movie Spectacular runs every Thursday night in June and July at the Madison Public Library. The Auditoriums open at 6:00pm and the movie begins at 6:30pm. Food and drink are allowed in the Auditoriums during the film. Treats will be provided by our Summer Movie sponsor Renasant Bank.
