A River Runs Through It: Exploring Our Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge with Jim Chamberlain and Steve Jones

We hope you'll join us for a journey through our nearby vast Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge.  We will give an overview of its history, properties and recent renovations.  We will discuss the amazing flora and fauna of the area, including the regal whooping cranes and secretive alligators that occasionally pop up in our subdivisions. We'll share experiences and places to hike and bike, as well as future possibilities like the Singing River Trail.   Steve is a retired forester and Jim served on the Land Trust of North Alabama Board and as President of Madison Greenways & Trails.
