The Book for October is: "The Violin Conspiracy" by Brendan Slocumb

Good Morning America Book Club pick

The author, Brendan Slocumb believes that everyone can learn to appreciate and love music, and that it can be a new way of communicating, building bonds, and connecting with people who may look, sound, or speak differently.

In "The Violin Conspiracy" Ray McMillian is a Black classical musician on the rise—undeterred by the pressure and prejudice of the classical music world—when a shocking theft sends him on a desperate quest to recover his great-great-grandfather's heirloom violin on the eve of the most prestigious musical competition in the world.
