Tensions arise in between a husband and wife when they are torn between leaving the country to improve life for their daughter or staying to care for his Alzheimer’s-afflicted father, and hiring a caregiver for the later only makes things much, much worse.

The film was the winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and remains one of most highly acclaimed films of the 21st century.
