For decades, Merrimack and Lowe Mills were an essential part of the engine driving Madison County's economy before Redstone Arsenal turned Huntsville into "The Rocket City".  We'll look at mill work and the villages that were attached to each mill. In spite of the challenges of working and living in these communities, mill folks carved out a meaningful life and passed on new opportunities to their children. David Lilly, Librarian in the Special Collections department will be presenting.  Come a little early for a meet and greet with the Madison History Association.

Contact Carolyn at creagle@hmcpl.org with questions.
