The 90s gave us Grunge, Friends, East Coast/West Coast Rap Beefs, Harry Potter, Quentin Tarantino, supersized fast food menu items, Home Alone and... The Weasel! Although he had been appearing on screen since the late 80s, Pauly Shore hit the big time with Encino Man in 1992. For the rest of the decade, Shore strutted across screens doing his surfer dude/chill schtick in a succession of films, but none were as funny as his 1993 Thanksgiving comedy Son in Law. Shore is Crawl, the dorm counselor who befriends small town girl Rebecca Warner, who is away from home for the first time. When Crawl has no where to go for Thanksgiving, Rebecca invites him to spend the holiday at her parents' farm. Suspecting her high school boyfriend is going to propose marriage, Rebecca hastily enlists Crawl to be her fiance. He agrees to her ruse, and tries to win over the Warners, who look at him like he's from another planet. It is rated PG-13 for adult language, humor and situations. The Auditorium opens at 6:00 p.m. and the movie begins at 6:30 p.m. Noshing grindage and wheezing the juice are allowed in the Auditorium during the film, buh-deee. 95 mins.
