Join us every Monday in February as we shine a spotlight on Oscar winning Black actresses.
In 2002 Halle Berry became the first Black woman to win Best Actress, and more than twenty years later she is still the only Black woman to win the top acting prize. This week we watch the film that she was awarded for- Monsters Ball.
After a family tragedy, a racist prison guard re-examines his attitudes while falling in love with the African-American wife of the last prisoner he executed.
This film is rated R, so this movie showing is for adult 18+ ONLY.
