Do you want to know more about life during the Great Depression in Northern Alabama?  David Lilly, Librarian in the Special Collections department will be sharing how the Civilian Conservation Corps, 1936-1941 provided employment to thousands of young men and women.   Come a little early for a meet and greet with the Madison History Association.

There were three Civilian Conservation Corps camps in Madison County that made significant contributions to the Alabama State Park system and to improved farming techniques. David will share what life was like in a camp and how the Civilian Conservation Corps helped keep so many young Americans out of poverty.
