Growing your own plants from seed is one of the most exciting endeavors for any gardener, but how is it that seeds are able to grow from something so small to something so beautiful? Join Conservation Biologist Sara Johnson for a foray into the world of seeds, from their form and function, to how to ethically source, and ways to grow and collect seed in your own garden. Take home some seeds of your own and learn all about the new Seed Library at the South Huntsville Public Library.

Sara is a Conservation Biologist with the North American Land Trust and proudly serves on the board of the Huntsville Environmental Coalition. She is an active volunteer with Wild Ones of North Alabama and the Land Trust of North Alabama. She is seed obsessed and loves growing her own native plants (and vegetables!) in her home garden.
