Join Jared for an all day Fright Fest! We'll be showing Blair Witch, Get Out, Drag Me To Hell, and A Quiet Place back to back!

9am - Blair Witch (2016)- rated R - After discovering a video showing what he believes to be his vanished sister Heather, James and a group of friends head to the forest believed to be inhabited by the Blair Witch. 

10:30am - Get Out - rated R - A young African-American visits his white girlfriend's parents for the weekend, where his simmering uneasiness about their reception of him eventually reaches a boiling point.

1pm - Drag Me To Hell - rated PG-13 - A loan officer who evicts an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point. 


2:45pm - A Quiet Place - rated PG-13 - In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

About the library

The Downtown Huntsville Library offers a large collection of print and multimedia materials and programs for all ages. The 123,000-square-foot facility has 11 meeting rooms available for reservation that can accommodate small study groups and large gatherings. Our Readers Advisory program offers customized and personal service to those who want help choosing their next great read. The second floor has a business center with faxing, scanning, and printing capabilities, a technology training center offering classes year round, and a satellite office for North AL Coalition for the Homeless. The downtown location is also home to our community’s only Subregional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, offering resources such as Digital Talking Books or braille material for the visually impaired or those with physical disabilities. The third floor houses our Special Collections department with access to print and online resources for genealogical research and its archives with materials and items pertaining to the history of Huntsville, Madison County, and North Alabama.
