Someone let monsters loose in the Youth Services department. Come see if you can find them all.

Join us the whole week of Monday, October 7th through Friday, October 11th at 2 p.m. in the Youth Services Department of the Downtown Huntsville Public Library for some delightfully scary fun :

Monster Hunt on Monday: Come hunt some awesome monsters in the Youth Services area

Gingerdead Men Tuesday:  Join us in the Youth Services area for decorating some cute creepy gingerbread (or is it gingerDEAD) cookies!  

Wacky Cryptid Wednesday: Come see how we bring science and myth together with cool experiments inspired by monsters. 

Terrifyingly Crafty Thursday: Come do some scary cool crafts at the library. Make crafts with your littles in our storytime area or take them to make at home.  

Monster Movie Friday: We're watching "Monster House" : Three tweens discover that their neighbor's house is really a living, breathing, scary monster. 91 min. Rated PG

About the library

The Downtown Huntsville Library offers a large collection of print and multimedia materials and programs for all ages. The 123,000-square-foot facility has 11 meeting rooms available for reservation that can accommodate small study groups and large gatherings. Our Readers Advisory program offers customized and personal service to those who want help choosing their next great read. The second floor has a business center with faxing, scanning, and printing capabilities, a technology training center offering classes year round, and a satellite office for North AL Coalition for the Homeless. The downtown location is also home to our community’s only Subregional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, offering resources such as Digital Talking Books or braille material for the visually impaired or those with physical disabilities. The third floor houses our Special Collections department with access to print and online resources for genealogical research and its archives with materials and items pertaining to the history of Huntsville, Madison County, and North Alabama.
