Sidney Poitier: In the Heat of the Night

Join us at the Downtown Huntsville Library as we do a deep dive into the filmography of the great Sidney Poitier! 1967 was a great year for Sidney Poitier and here is the second of two films released that year.  In The Heat of the Night.  A black Philadelphia police detective is mistakenly suspected of a local murder while passing through a racially hostile Mississippi town, and after being cleared is reluctantly asked by the police chief to investigate the case.
