Join local folk-fusion band Browns Ferry Meltdown for a Black-informed concert and jam session. Learn the history of Southern folk tunes and their enduring influence.
Cavalry Hill is harnessing a new kind of power. The power of music! Local band folk fusion band Browns Ferry Meltdown will take us on a brief trip through the evolution of blues. From its roots in spirituals all the way up through Appalachian music to the blues that we know today. They'll show off their instruments, play some tunes, and talk about the importance of music making and jamming with friends in southern culture. Come enjoy some tunes, do a little jig, and jump on stage for a little music making with the band.
This event will be held in the Cavalry Hill Auditorium!
