Remember the classics from your childhood?  Discover them again as an adult!

May's series is: Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys by Carolyn Keene/Franklin Dixon

From Goodreads: The Secret of the Old Clock is the first novel in the expansive Nancy Drew Mystery Stories and was originally published in 1930 but rewritten in 1959. It’s worth noting that the author “name” Carolyn Keene is actually a pseudonym for a variety of writers, both men and women, who penned works for the series about the titular young, intelligent, amateur sleuth. At present, the series boasts over sixty titles, which impressively reflects its popularity throughout the years.

The Tower Treasure is the first of the Hardy Boys series, originally published in 1927 by Leslie MacFarlane under the pseudonym of Franklin W. Dixon. This classic tale was rewritten in 1959 as well by Harriett S. Adams. The Hardy Boys stories were known for their classic mystery structure and adventurous by the teen brothers. Currently, The Hardy Boys stories include newer, more modern adventures for young readers.

Pick one or more of these adventures and mysteries and come ready to discuss or just enjoy listening to the thoughts of your fellow Retro Readers.
