Exhibit: Stories from the Spanish-American War

The Library's newest traveling exhibit will be on display May 16 through August 31, 2024, before it goes on tour in the community.

The Spanish-American War (May-August 1898), while short in length, had lasting impact on Huntsville, Alabama. From projects around the Big Spring to leaps in military service for women, find out more about how the war through HMCPL's new exhibit.

This exhibit was created by Special Collections staff and was sponsored by Huntsville Revisited and local chapters of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (Hunt's Spring Ch., Huntsville Ch., Maple Hill Ch., Rainbolt Mountain Ch., and Twickenham Town Ch.).
