The Horror Films of Jacques Tourneur

Jacques Tourneur worked with producer Val Lewton to produce a series of very low budget but cleverly made horror films for RKO Pictures in the 1940s. Using light, shadow, sound & camera angles, Tourneur's films create a sense of unease & uncertainty in audiences. We'll look at three of Tourneur's best horror works including one made in the late 1950s using all the tricks & skills learned as part of Lewton's team.
