Step back in time with us for Reel Classics that defined generations throughout the decades. Revisit iconic films, meet unforgettable characters, and experience enduring magic on the silver screen—right here at the library.

February's film will be from the 70s: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is a 1971 American musical fantasy film directed by Mel Stuart from a screenplay by Roald Dahl, based on his 1964 novel. It stars Gene Wilder as chocolatier Willy Wonka. The film tells the story of a poor child named Charlie Bucket who, upon finding a Golden Ticket in a chocolate bar, wins the chance to visit Willy Wonka's chocolate factory along with four other children from around the world.

Popcorn will be provided!

Doors open at 5:00. Film starts at 5:30.
Outside snacks are welcome.
