You Be The Judge with Tom Borcher
Thursday, March 5, 2026 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Think you might be a good fit for the Supreme Court? Tom Borcher translates the excitement and drama of the courtroom to the written page in his book "Justice in Your Court". He will discuss his book and encourage the audience to resolve one of the cases he has written about.
The jurors (audience) will be presented with the facts of actual court cases – matters involving such topics as immigration, the death penalty, free speech, freedom of religion, personal injury and defamation. The floor will be open for questions and comments. Then we’ll take a vote to determine the group’s verdict. Finally, you will learn the outcome of the real case. Let’s see how comfortable you are sitting in the jury box!
Tom Borcher is a retired attorney living in Huntsville, Alabama. Previously, he was a consumer trial lawyer in Los Angeles before moving to Huntsville eleven years ago. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Southern California Affiliate of the ACLU and was a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. He has presented his live program You Be The Judge to audiences around the country. He is also the author of the book entitled Justice in Your Court which, like his live programs, provides the reader with fifty real-life cases to decide and then learn how the actual court ruled.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Program starts at 6:00 p.m. in the classroom.
