Explore optical illusions to better understand how our mind can trick us into seeing things that are not really there.

Test your brain by examining optical illusions that will challenge your perception. Learn the connection between optical illusions and bias. By understanding that the mind tricks us into seeing illusions participants will understand how biases can also trick our brains into seeing something that is not really there.

After looking at optical illusions create an illusion of your own by making a thaumatrope.

This program is being offered in coordination with the Smithsonian exhibit The Bias Inside Us. For more information about this initiative or for more resources, please visit: https://biasinsideus.si.edu/homepage
