This book club will meet every week on Thursdays. Each meeting we will have  fun book discussions followed by creative activities related to the book.  We will begin reading Minecraft: The Island by Max Brooks.

Suggested Independent Reading Skill Level: Fourth- Fifth Grade

Minecraft is an educational game that allows players to utilize STEM techniques and topics to solve problems, create environments, and cooperate with other players while having loads of fun.  These skills will serve the players throughout their lives.  As STEM literacy has matured educators have called for the Arts to be included for a well-rounded education. This book club serves as a stepping stone for Arts literacy by encouraging members to develop reading habits and creativity in a fun and no stress environment.
