Gotham City’s Christmas celebrations are thrown into chaos by the competing machinations of The Penguin, Catwoman, and a ruthless businessman named Max Shreck, and only Batman can save the city from the darkest of all Christmas nights.
Batman Returns was directed by Tim Burton and stars Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito, and Christopher Walken.
Christmas, Technically: A Celebration of Unconventional Holiday Films
Almost all films considered “Christmas movies” fall within a set range of seasonal conventions, but there are always outliers that don’t fit the mold. This film series celebrates films that go against yuletide expectations and put their own unusual stamp on the holiday season.
