Are you someone who enjoys playing detective? Do you stay up late reading to find out who the killer is? Well, this is the mystery book club for you. We read a variety of the mystery genre from cozies to psychological suspense.

This month we are reading Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano.

Has anyone ever mistaken you for a hit man? Perhaps, you just have one of those faces.

Finlay Donovan is killing it . . . except, she’s really not. She’s a stressed-out single-mom of two and struggling novelist. When Finlay is overheard discussing the plot of her new suspense novel with her agent over lunch, she’s mistaken for a contract killer, and inadvertently accepts an offer to dispose of a problem husband in order to make ends meet.

Soon, Finlay discovers that crime in real life is a lot more difficult than its fictional counterpart, as she becomes tangled in a real-life murder investigation.

Next month we are discussing mysteries featuring unlikely detectives.

The Plot Thickens meets on the 1st Thursday of the month in the 2nd Floor Workforce Development Classroom at 6pm.
