The MAD Movie-A-Thon-O-Rama: Looker (1981)
Thursday, March 11, 2027 6 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
Beautiful young models are dying at an alarming rate, usually after undergoing extreme surgeries to look perfect. Dr. Larry Roberts (Albert Finney) and his patient Cindy Fairmont (Susan Dey) discover a sinister plan of taking the most beautiful models working, and capturing them in a computer program so they can be used however the coproations want to use them. (And once their image has been preserved digitally, they must be killed.) Michael Crichton delivers this cautionary warning about AI technology more than four full decades before it ever became a real concern. It's a high octane thriller filled with 80's fashions that will never die! 93 minutes. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the film.
The movie will be shown in AUDITORIUM 1 of the Madison Public Library.
