Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann (1982)
Motorbike racer Lyle Swann (Fred Ward) wanders far enough into the desert where the government is testing a time-travel teleportation device that sends him back to the wild west on November 5, 1877. Of course, it wouldn't be a movie if he didn't somehow tangle with bad guy Porter Reese (Peter Coyote) and fall in love with Claire Cygne (Belinda Bauer). This great early 80's time-travel flick mixes sci-fi, action and western, and seems to have been lost to time after the success of the mid-80's time-travel blockbuster Back to the Future. It delivers excellent pulp escapism fun. 94 minutes. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the film.
