The MAD Movie-A-Thon-O-Rama: Valley Girl (2020)
Thursday, April 29, 2027 6 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
Julie's from the Valley. Randy's from the city. It's Romeo and Juliet for the 80's, by way of the 20's. This musical adaptation of Martha Coolidge's 1983 teen classic Valley Girl. This time, Julie's a mom and when her daughter arrives home after breaking up with her boyfriend, she tells the epic story of her first love, Randy. And she tells it with a blasting 80's soundtrack, neon and big hair. This 2020 musical adaptation of the original film offers a unique trip back in time. (And yes, kids. We did dance on the fountain at the mall!) 102 minutes. Food and drink are allowed in the auditoriums during the movie.
The movie will be shown in AUDITORIUM 1 of the Madison Public Library.
