Join us at Hazel Green Library for a free, family‑friendly “Teddy Bear Clinic”.
We’re excited to welcome pediatrician and former Library Foundation Board Member Dr. Kym Middleton, who will demonstrate some of the equipment used in child life services, and share insights into the important work of the Child Life Program.
Families are invited to a heartwarming and educational “Teddy Bear Clinic,” designed to ease children’s fears about medical visits through play, learning, and imagination. They will learn about the Child Life Program, and then guide their own stuffed animals through a playful check‑up experience. This interactive experience helps build confidence, encourages empathy, and turns a routine health concept into something fun and approachable.
