Have you ever applied for a job and been rejected, even when it seemed perfect and you thought you were a shoe-in? Have you sent in a résumé that didn’t even land you a preliminary screening? If so, you’ve probably wondered: What happened? Did I do something wrong? Am I not a good candidate? While we may never know what happens on the other end of a hiring process, there are steps to ensure that we market ourselves in the best way possible, and the first step is creating a great résumé to stand out from the pile. In this course, we will go over the ins and outs of effective résumé building from organization tips, word choice, vital content to include, and more.
