The Bad and the Beautiful (1952) [Not Rated]
When asked to be part of a movie producer’s newest project, a film director, an actress, and a writer, all of whom have cut ties and refuse to speak with him, reflect on their tumultuous past history.
Directed by Vincente Minnelli and starring Kirk Douglas, it won five Academy Awards: Best Supporting Actress (Gloria Grahame), Screenplay, Art Direction, Cinematography, and Costume Design (Kirk Douglas was also nominated for Best Actor).

This film series takes four peeks behind the curtain of Hollywood: a musical about the introduction of sound in the late 1920s, a comedy about the chaos of a 1950s movie studio, a drama about the ruthless puppeteering of a mid-20th century movie producer, and a musical dramedy about the relentless struggle of being an unknown trying to catch a big break in the present day.
